About This Rescue

In the heart of Cairo, Ash Ahmad is on a mission — a mission fueled by love, compassion, and an unyielding dedication to the city’s forgotten felines. With more than 400 cats under her care, Ash’s shelter is a sanctuary for those abandoned and mistreated.

Every day she rescues cats from the streets, arranges veterinary care, and works to find them loving homes. Over the years she has sent at least a thousand cats on to forever families in the US, Canada and Europe.
