Jim is a young cat from Safi, a small coastal town in Morocco.
He never stood a chance against a speeding car. One moment, he was just another homeless cat trying to survive on the streets. The next, he was left broken on the roadside, his tiny body crushed by the impact, unable to crawl away from the place where his life had nearly ended. When we reached him, he wasn’t crying anymore. He lay completely still, exhausted by unbearable pain. Every attempt to move sent agony through his shattered body. Both of his legs are broken. They can no longer support his weight. He cannot stand, walk, or even drag himself to safety. But that wasn’t the worst of it.
The force of the collision also destroyed one of his eyes. It is so severely damaged that it cannot be saved. The eye must be surgically removed to stop the pain and prevent life-threatening infection. He has already lost his vision in that eye forever. We cannot imagine what he has endured since the accident. Every passing car. Every hour spent lying helpless on the ground. Every moment waiting, hoping someone would finally stop and care enough to help him. No animal should have to suffer like this.
He needs orthopedic treatment for both broken legs, removal of his destroyed eye, hospitalization, pain relief, medications, X-rays, and weeks of careful recovery. His road ahead will be long and difficult, but it is a road he can still travel—if we can give him that opportunity. Despite everything that has happened, he is still fighting. When we gently touched him, he didn’t try to bite or run away. He simply looked at us with his one remaining eye, as if asking us not to give up on him. And we don’t want to.
This sweet soul has already lost so much. He has lost his ability to walk. He has lost one of his eyes. He has lost the life he knew in a single devastating moment. No living being should have to live in this much pain. Every movement Atlas makes is a reminder of the cruel abuse that happened to him as a kitten. His back leg is permanently twisted into an unnatural position, forcing him to drag a limb that no longer functions the way it should. Looking at him, it’s impossible not to wonder how long he’s been living like this… and how many painful steps he’s taken simply trying to survive.
The heartbreaking story we’ve been told is that, when he was just a tiny kitten, children tied his leg so tightly that it became permanently deformed. We may never know exactly what happened, but one thing is certain: this injury did not happen overnight, and Atlas has suffered for far too long.
Despite everything, kind people in the area continued feeding him, doing what they could to help him survive. They watched him struggle to walk. They watched him live in constant pain. They knew he deserved more. Now, Atlas is finally safe. Our veterinary team has determined that his damaged leg cannot be saved. The only way to free him from the constant pain he’s been forced to endure is through amputation.
But heartbreak doesn’t end there. Atlas is terrified of people. He flinches, panics, and becomes defensive whenever someone tries to touch him. We don’t blame him. If the story is true, people are the very reason he carries this devastating injury. Add to that the constant pain he’s living with every single day, and it’s easy to understand why trust doesn’t come naturally. His fear makes every examination, every treatment, and every step toward helping him far more difficult, but we refuse to give up on him.

He was lying there helplessly on the streets, struggling to survive with an injury no animal should ever have to endure. A sweet male cat who once had a chance at a normal life was found abandoned, frightened, and in unimaginable pain. When we reached him, our hearts broke. His jaw was severely fractured, leaving him unable to eat properly and making every movement painful.
He was hungry, exhausted, and desperately trying to cope with an injury that he should never have been left to suffer through alone. We can only imagine what happened to him. Whether he was hit by a vehicle, attacked, or suffered another traumatic accident, the result was the same — this innocent cat was left broken and vulnerable on the streets. Every day without treatment puts him at greater risk. A broken jaw is not just a painful injury; it affects his ability to eat, drink, and protect himself.
Without urgent veterinary care, he could become severely malnourished, develop infections, and continue living in unbearable pain. Despite everything he has been through, he is still gentle. He does not understand why he is hurting. He does not understand why he was left alone. He only knows that he needs someone to help him. We have taken him into our care and rushed him for veterinary evaluation. We believe he is a mixed-breed cat who was either abandoned or became lost. Somehow, he ended up alone, injured, and forgotten. No one knows how long he suffered before someone finally noticed him lying helplessly on the roadside. By the time he reached us, his condition was heartbreaking. His jaw is fractured, making every attempt to eat or even close his mouth agonizing. Thick pus mixed with blood continuously drains from his face as a severe infection spreads through his wounds. He is so severely dehydrated that his little body has almost nothing left to fight with.
Blood tests brought even more devastating news. He is dangerously anemic, suffering from a blood parasite that is destroying his already fragile body. His fever is high, a sign that infection has overwhelmed his immune system. Every hour without treatment gives the infection another chance to spread. Despite everything he has endured, he has not shown aggression. He simply leans into gentle hands, exhausted, as though he still believes someone will finally choose to help him. We refuse to let his story end on the streets.
He urgently needs hospitalization, intravenous fluids to treat his severe dehydration, powerful antibiotics to fight the infection, medication for the blood parasite, pain relief, blood work, X-rays, and treatment for his fractured jaw. Every part of his recovery depends on receiving immediate veterinary care.

Someone hit him and kept driving. No one stopped. No one came back. They left behind a tiny kitten whose entire world changed in a single, devastating moment. When we found him, he was lying on the side of the road, desperately trying to pull himself forward with his front legs. His back legs trail helplessly behind him. Every movement is slow, painful, and exhausting, yet he refuses to give up.
The impact has caused devastating injuries. He is in pain and cannot use his hind legs. Whether he is suffering from spinal trauma, pelvic fractures, nerve damage, or multiple internal injuries, we do not yet know. What we do know is that he needs emergency medical care immediately if he is to have any chance of surviving. He urgently requires diagnostic imaging, X-rays, a full veterinary examination, pain medication, hospitalization, and around-the-clock supportive care. Depending on the extent of his injuries, he may also need surgery, specialized treatment, and a long period of rehabilitation to give him the best possible chance of walking again.
Right now, he is frightened, confused, and hurting. He does not understand why his little body no longer works. He only knows that every attempt to move is painful, yet he keeps trying. No one knows how long he wandered the streets like this. Every step he took was filled with pain. Every attempt to sit, lie down, or simply exist forced him to endure agony that no living soul should ever have to bear. When we found him, our hearts shattered. His tail was no longer a tail. The skin had been stripped away, leaving behind raw, bright red flesh that had dried out from days of exposure. It looked as though the life had been drained from it completely. There is nothing left that can be repaired. The tissue has died, and every passing hour only increases his pain and the risk of a life-threatening infection.
As if that wasn’t heartbreaking enough, his body tells the story of even more suffering. He has wounds scattered across him, evidence that he has endured far more than anyone should. Whether he was attacked, dragged, or injured in an accident, we may never know. What we do know is that he has been suffering alone, with no one to ease his pain. He never gave up. Despite everything he has been through, he allowed us to pick him up. He didn’t fight. He didn’t growl. It was almost as if he knew that someone had finally come to help him.
Our veterinary team has confirmed the devastating news. His tail cannot be saved. The damage is simply too severe. The only humane option is to amputate it before infection spreads further and his suffering becomes even worse. He also needs pain relief, antibiotics, wound care, blood tests, hospitalization, and careful monitoring as he recovers from surgery. For a homeless cat with nowhere to go, these treatments are the difference between life and death.
It is impossible not to wonder what he has endured before we found him. How many days did he spend dragging this ruined tail behind him? How many nights did he curl up in unbearable pain, hoping the hurt would somehow stop? He has suffered enough. He was in so much pain that he didn’t know how to trust anyone anymore. When we first found him, we could barely look at his front limb. What may have started as a small wound had been left untreated for so long that his leg had deteriorated into a raw, open mass of exposed tissue, blood, infection, and maggots. The sight was devastating. The maggots were feeding on his injured flesh while the infection continued to spread. And yet, despite the agony he was in, he fought desperately whenever we tried to approach him. He is an extremely aggressive and frightened cat, and rescuing him was anything but easy.
We tried once. He fought us. We tried again. He escaped. It took three separate attempts before we finally managed to get him to safety. We don’t blame him for fighting. Imagine being in unbearable pain, carrying an infected wound that has been eating away at your body, and then having frightened strangers suddenly try to catch you. He didn’t understand that we were trying to save him. All he knew was that he was scared and hurting. But we refused to give up on him. After three attempts, we finally got him into our care.
And now that he is safe, we can see just how serious his condition really is. His front limb is severely damaged. The tissue is infected, and the wound was crawling with maggots. He needs veterinary intervention to control the infection, remove the dead and damaged tissue, clean the wound, and determine whether the limb can possibly be saved. There is a very real possibility that amputation may be the only way to save his life. He will need emergency treatment, wound management, medications, pain relief, diagnostic tests, hospitalization, and intensive nursing care.
We don’t know how many nights he spent hiding somewhere, trying to survive with a limb that was slowly being destroyed. But we know one thing: He should never have had to suffer this long. Today, he is no longer alone. He has been rescued. He has people fighting for him. But rescuing him was only the first step. Now we need your help to give him a chance to heal. We don’t yet know what caused the loss of vision, but whatever happened, it has left this little baby trapped in a world of darkness.

Every sound could be a passing car, an aggressive animal, or a person who doesn’t even notice he’s there. He has no way to find food safely, no way to protect himself, and no way to escape the countless dangers surrounding him.
When we found him, he was frightened, confused, and relying only on his hearing and sense of smell to navigate the world. Despite the pain he was in, he melted into our arms the moment we picked him up, quietly asking for the comfort every kitten deserves. He has now been rushed to the veterinary hospital, where he urgently needs pain relief, diagnostic tests, treatment for the severe infection, medications, hospitalization, and a full ophthalmic examination.
If the infected eye cannot be saved, surgery may be necessary to end his suffering and prevent the infection from spreading further. This precious little boy has already lost his sight. Meet Archie, a sweet stray cat who found love and comfort in a kind man’s home. One day, he stopped being himself—restless, uncomfortable, crying when trying to use the litter box. The kind man rushed him to the vet, terrified. The diagnosis broke everyone’s hearts:
This sweet boy cannot empty his bladder on his own. His kidneys are struggling to function properly, and stones have blocked his urinary tract, placing him at risk of severe pain and life-threatening complications. To save him, the vet inserted a catheter, which must remain and be monitored regularly to prevent dangerous buildup and infection.
Without it, his health could decline rapidly. But his care doesn’t stop there. He now requires special kidney-management food and medicines every day, which is vital to protect what little kidney function he still has and prevent further stone formation. Between the medical care and prescription diet, his monthly expenses total $300—an amount that the man simply cannot afford alone.
